They may have had the April 8 total solar eclipse on their calendars for months,
but a comet is also appearing early this month.
The 12P/Pons-Brooks comet was visible to amateur astronomers
in March due to flare-ups before its direct fly-by on April 21–24.
According to NASA, the comet may be visible with the naked eye during next month's eclipse,
although binoculars or a telescope in Pisces are recommended for early evening viewing.
Brooks didn't understand his discovery was documented 70 years earlier.
