How to Lose Weight with Fruits  

Fruit is beneficial, but it should only be eaten in moderation as part of a balanced diet. 

The DGA states that two cups of fruit per day should be consumed as part of a diet that contains 2,000 calories.

Blend leafy greens, almonds, and lean protein (such as Greek yogurt or tofu) into a smoothie with fresh or frozen fruit.

Fruit can be added to stir fries, slaws, and entrée salads that are vegetarian.

Choose fruit over candies or baked products. 

Type 2 diabetics should avoid packaged junk foods like chips, crackers, and pretzels since they include refined carbohydrates, salt, and added sugars.
